Default WTB: '65 Tempest Parts

Hi,
I'm looking for a set of kick panels for my non air '65 Tempest (I can't seem to find any that have the air vents). I'm also looking for the two chome strips that are above and below "P-O-N-T-I-A-C" logo on the rear tail panel. Thank you.

Koz5614, the same tailpanel for GTO,Lemans,(but less ribs) is one solid molded piece, that is chromed first, them painted where needed (between the ribs, white in the letters) I find it hard to believe the Tempest Tail Lamp panel isn't made the same way.

My Tempest did not come with a tail panel piece. The "PONTIAC" letters are individual and are attached to the rear panel directly. There are two strips of chrome - one above, and one below the letters that tie in to the upper and lower corners of the right an left tailight bezels. It gives the illusion of a panel, but I can assure you that is not.

Hi,

I have a set of original kick panels off of a 65 GTO I use to own. They are in good shape are tan in color because my interior was gold fawn. You could clean them up and paint them any color you want.

I can take pics and send if interested.

$25.00 plus shipping for the pair.

Please email me at mojo6t5@ptd.net or PM me.

Let me know,
Mark

Thank you! That is exactly what mine looks like. I was getting to think I had the only car that didn't have a ribbed tail panel. Does your car also have the 3 horizontal bars on the front fenders? BTW, I like your car's stance.

I have one of the stainless pieces for you, it is very nice $25 plus shipping. I purchased 10 A bodies over the past 8 years.

I have seen a lot of cars, but I guess I never saw one in that configuration without the tail panel.

My car originally cam with the three bars on the front fenders, but the right fender had been replaced by one from a Tempest Custom, which came with an engine size emblem. When I got the car, all of the mounting holes had been filled in with bondo. I welded up the extra holes and went with 326 emblems instead. I also found a very nice ribbed tail panel on E-bay, and I put that on the rear.
