Got an e-mail back from Jim M.

Chris,

Yes, the SCO (Special Charge Option) on the dealer invoice is legitimate. However,

there is no way of identifying what the charge was for, as all the memos for these type

of items were destroyed many- many years ago.

Default Special charge option

"614" is rally stripe option, "714" is rally gauge option in "72. Perhaps a rally option?
Or... Interior colors were 241, 244, 245 etc. in '72. More likely a special interior color?

Anyone have interior color codes for 1971, is sandlewood 214?

Chris... Thanks for taking the time and effort.
as a Pontiac specific guy which in my mind is a rare car person I took the stuff here as a bit of a personal and professional attack. I am a honest guy. I go out of me way sometimes to my own person loss to be that way. I am sure i will replace this car with somthing else i can be proud of ... rest assured .. it will be 62-73 Pontiac ( sorry 74 455sd dont like the look LOL)
I am looking at a 71 formula 455 ... we will see or a 1970 GTO 455 HO in Ohio
regardless i will miss this car but i know it is at a GTO home and in good company.
