Another "unmolested" 72.

Love that Tuxedo interior!

BUYER BEWARE, these guys are what we here in canada call "curb siders" (private car dealers).
This car needs to be inspected before you buy it. DON'T TAKE THERE WORD!
They'll tell you this white car is black!

Thought I recognized the Boeing back drop.

Weren't they selling a real clean silver blue 71 Formula a year or so ago?

Correct, the car was on craigslsit for $5,500

I was the 1st to call. The seller said he was not ready to show it and I told him to call when it was. I then got a call from the seller hours later telling me a guy from San Luis Obispo was on his way down.
An hour later, he called and told me the guy paid 7k for it and was going to "keep it forever."
Sometimes a moment can seem like forever, I guess.
Why not tell the guy F-off, he's 2nd in line??
Shabby transaction from seller to buyer to eBaY.

OH...AND IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THOSE RARE "PONITAC" MODELS.
Check the tailpanel...

I bought a car from these clowns, it was incorrectly described as a survivor, driver, useable, etc etc. I have to admit my car was rust free and better than any firebird I seen here in canada, but it needed to be sorted. After 10k and plenty of hours it is a survivor, driver and useable.

I forgot to mention they had another username on ebay rosalie350, with plenty of negative feed back.

Garbage people. Predatory flippers. Sorry, to hear about your bad dealings.
Seems they always use the Boeing area as their backdrop. They must live like transients, sleeping in their flipper cars, among the dumpster vermin.

This seller isn't very creative. It is obvious he has asked himself questions and posted them on the auction. I am sure the shill bids will be placed before the auction ends.

Sold a nice looking green on green 70 with the same Boeing backdrop too.

That white car has had work, inside of the scoops didn't come white from the factory.

Scoops are white when the color changed from red. Would be sharp back to original.

White scoops and side trim rub strips indicate repaint. The ad slyly was written to sound like original paint, but it literally reads body original.....

Interior is way cool and color combo with top and interior must be rare. If no bondo bucket, looks like a great one, knowing what you are starting with.

Right... trim tag indicates it was originally Cardinal Red.

Big rear sway bar means it's probably a Y99.

Something just doesn't look right about this car. Has been awfully wet inside for an original SoCal car. Maybe a cleaned up flood victim? And what's with the standing water in the trunk?

I noticed that too. The roof is probably rotted out from the vinyl top.

BTW - It does rain in California...

It looks like they were able to shill it up to $7900... the 2nd high bidder is a zero.

I think the "water in trunk" situation is pretty typical of MOST 70's F-bodies that are parked outside in the rain.

70-73's seem to be MORE prone to this & all the extra holes made in the pinchwelds to anchor the rubber roof certainly don't help.

Have you ever owned one that sat outside & DIDN'T collect rainwater in the trunk?

I've also found that after 30 years or more, the back window seal "looses it's grip" on the pinchweld.

After removing the (70-73) rear window moldings,I've been able to just lift the backglass right out,on numerous occasions.

2many, right on all counts, and to add, a whole lot of 70-73 back lower rear 1/4 rust is from leaky back windows. 70-73 is to me the coolest rear window treatment ever, but is also from an engineering standpoint a disaster unless kept dry... standing water sits in that window channel, inspiring seal leak, channel rust, rear 1/4 rust.... and the proverbial "water in the trunk"... and trunk rust....
