Default What master cyl for manual 4 wheel discs?

I am about to change out the rear drum brakes on my 78 t/a bracket to rear discs. What master cylinder should I use, I do not have power brakes. I currently have a 1973 6 cyl camaro master cyl (non power disc drum)on it.

Thank you,

Default MC for 4 wheel discs

This site has some interesting information:

http://www.mpbrakes.com/products/pro...product_id=536

On my A-body I used one from a '66 Corvette with manual disc brakes. My car has factory discs on the front and a Scarebird type conversion on the 12 bolt rear. I used the calipers and rotors from a mid 80's Toro. for the rear. Very satisfied with the setup.

Look up the one for a 1968 Corvette 4 wheel disc manual. It is a bolt on. I have one at home with the part number on the box if you need it.

Thank you all for your input. I went over to my local advanced and they had one in town so bought it and am waiting for it to show up at my local store.

Assumption??: Get the same prop valve (68 Vette)?

If it's for an F-body, you should get the OEM WS6 part or an aftermarket one for the F-body application. All the aftermarket brake vendors have them available.

I bought the master cylinder/prop valve combo from CPP and it worked great. Cost was $130. All the parts are NEW, not reman. It's based on the '68 vette m/c. I did originally buy a m/c & prop valve from a local reputable speed shop and got the wrong m/c. On the outside they are identical in apprearance so be careful.

Also be sure to set the e-brake before you begin to bleed out the lines.
