Default anyone ever heard of Danny Gatton?

I just added one of the blues station on my Pandora and one of his songs from Hot Rod Guitars was on....impressive guitar playing is an understatement

Danny Gatton was a fantastic guitar player who never got the recognition he deserved. He committed suicide in 1994.

Oh really? I just saw his d.o.b. and d.o.d. I didn't read much about him yet. They had a song on there that was an instrumental, I'm not sure of the name of it, but I was amazed at his talent.

DG was GREAT! His album called "88 Elmira Street" is a good place to start.

Check out the Robert Gordon and Danny Gatton album "The Humbler". It's rockabilly, not blues. I saw Danny Gatton at the 8x10 club in Baltimore in '84. He was doing some jazzy blues stuff at that time.

Danny was "local" to me, from Charles county Marland. I discovered him in the late 80's. I have all of his studio albums and some bootlegs too. 88 Elmira Street (named after the address he grew up at as a kid) and Cruisin' Deuces are two of his most polished studio albums.

Ask any guitar hero about Gatton and they will tell you, he was the best at mastering multiple styles. Technically amazing. I saw him many times.

"Unfinished Business" is his best effort IMO.
