Default Norwalk National

I see all the talk about Norwalk for the Pontiac event - I was just wondering how many of you attend the National there or even compete? Im looking into it and the timing seems good to go back - was curious as to how many of you might be there?

I'm going!

There are probably quite a few PY'ers that go and race there.

U mean the Tri-Power Nationals?
The largest 3 day Pontiac racing event in the world?
Where we only get to see most buddies from here once a year?
Ya, its casual...

Well then, no I'm not going to the NHRA event that's there, at least as of right now.

What class are you going to race?

I have raced there many times when it was IHRA, but in NHRA eyes we are just the step child. 10.90 class

Curt,I raced their in S/R with my Grand Prix and it was packed.
With all the upgrades they made for NHRA Sanctioning the event is only bigger now.
Call Bill Bader Jr. after the holidays and he will give you a true scope of the event, I never heard a lie come out of his or his dad's mouth yet.
Or call any of your S/G, T/S buddies from Division 3 or 1 they will let you know.

Worst thing to happen to Norwalk was going to nhra from ihra in my opinion. Clearly a different feel at big events for the avg. racer.

There is the "TRI-POWER Pontiac Nationals" (a very laid back, family type event) in August and a NHRA National Event (like the Spring Nationals or the Summer Nationals) in June called the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals Norwalk, Ohio.

Which event are you talking about? The Pontiac Event is always in August.

While I cant disagree the NHRA treats the sportsman class's "differently", a large National event can be a lot of fun. And since they are running Top sportsman at that event I thought it might be a good event to come to and play with the east coast guys with the GTO -
