In comparison: Here is a '69 GTO Conv that is in need of a total resto (rusted as well) even though has its original drivetrain (rebuilt motor) and a limelight green ext colour, but an Auto car...just sold on ebay for over $8k...so I think the expresso rust free car is still a better deal:

Paul, I have to disagree. Of course, color is subjective, but I find it's a color that you find people warming up to rather than polarizing like Verdoro Green.
A ragtop in Expresso Brown/gold sounds like a nice car. |

It's all personal preference... I did not hesitate to buy any of my six Verdoro Green cars, not for a minute, but I knew about that Judge for years and left it sit. Along with MANY others. It recebtly sold for around 7k Owner wanted 12k a couple years ago. If it had been any other color, well maybe excluding MAyfair Maize, I'd have bought it. If it had been Verdoro Green I'd have given him 12k.
Remember, Verdoro Green was the most POPULAR color in 68! It's popularity carried into 69 and 70. The issue many of us have with the color today is there are so many of them! Almost every 68 I find is Verdoro! The brown was never desired. Not in 69, not now.

I agree with Diego. Expresso Brown is a class color when you see it. I have a RAIII Expresso Brown with Gold Interior just recently restored and I receive nothing but compliments on it. The color combination works very well. I'm not knocking Verdero Green but almost every '69 GTO around here is that color and it's nice to see other colors. I could have painted it another '69 color but chose to keep it original. It is a personal preference and I would rather have this color than Verdero - just my opinion. My last '69 was Limelight and it was a nice color as well - still prefer it over Verdoro. Good luck with your sale tempestdude!

I think brown WAS desired!
Just not for GTOs or performance cars. |

I own a an Expresso 69 Vert also (also a 4spd AC car) (As well as a Bonne vert in the same color) and while ive grown to like the color it is a deal killer for many people, also something no one has mentioned is the location of the car, while southwest cars are great for rust free condition they dont seem to be appreciated by people in the southwest. Car would pull more money back east.
My guess is $8k to 10K and a steal at that price for a 4spd AC vert with no rust. Perfect project for someone who want to restore without being constrained by as built options and colors etc

I know its not a very popular color, but I love the expresso brown with white interior. But then I gravitate toward more unique vehicles/colors anyway.
Sorry to hear about the pending sale and reasons for. Good luck!

I like the expresso brown color also. Not my favorite but looks very nice when restored.
I have a 69 GTO hdtp. 2 tone paint(expresso brown/white painted top) with gold int. 4spd. I really like unusual colors as I get tired of seeing the same old thing. Good luck with your sale!
