Default McCulloch Chain Saw Parts??

Hope someone can help with this???

My old Dad has a McCulloch Pro-Mac 3805AV-18. He has somehow managed to shear off the top of the oil tank and I just cannot find anyone over here who has these parts.

Can anyone steer me towards somene who can help out with this? I think his oil pump is still working OK but if I can get a tank, then I'd also replace the oil pump if I can.

Dad is 86 and he likes his own chainsaw. I've tried to tell him to get another or borrow my Stihl but no, he says he "knows" his old one........

Gotta get this sorted out. He asks me about every day!!!

Thanks,

Ian

I would be more concerned with an 86 yr old operating a chainsaw.
Years ago my FIL almost cut his foot off with one.Only the skin on the opposite side of cut was holding it on.
They fused the joints and tendons so hes got a "Frankie" kind of walk.
Hes 86 and I "borrowed" all his power tools a few years ago at my wifes direction.
Bless your fathers heart for wanting to get with it.

Heybuck I still have one that I took apart 20 yrs ago due to a gummed up carb.
If it will work you can have it.

Thanks, I really do share your concerns but the GOOD news is, he can't start it. But he wants it there and ready to go when I come around. I think the real issue is, he bought it maybe 15-20 years ago and he is really peeved that he damaged it.

It was on the shelf where it lives, he knocked a long piece of wood which was leaning against the shed wall, it slipped sideways and struck the saw right on the side. Sheared the oil filler cap right off.

This thing has a plastic tank. I REALLY appreciate your offer and of course I'll pay you for it plus post. Maybe I best send you a picture of it??? I'll do that tomorrow.

Thanks, Ian

Default oil tank

I can probably find one here on the west coast.

Might be able to trade for one of those cool tach pods I seen on ebay.
