Who else is cruisin'?
Seems like it has been all business here on the '62-66 big car forum for a long time.
Anybody else been out ridin' around? I have put a couple hundred on in the '63 in the last week. Y'all should hear this thing whining like a log truck when it is holding back through the turns in 1st & 2nd. I'm gettin' dirty driving on gravel roads, & I don't give a crap. I have been taking the attitude that if driving is going to be a 'thing', may as well enjoy it. He!! I don't own a vehicle that gets better than 16, so I might as well be puttin' gas in a big Pontiac. Pick up kids in an old car, run to the store etc. Par-tey. Eyeballin' my next projects and contemplating selling a car or two to get the other big projects done. I only have so many arms & legs I can drive with. I think I might drive more with less cars! What kind of fun is everyone having with their cars during this beautiful spring? God Bless America - the needles are off the pegs! Can you hear the 068 runnin'?

Just put the 65 Bonneville conv back on the road Thursday and was cruising it today.
I have cruised the 60 Bonneville and the 67 GP last week. I even drove the Metropolitan a few times already.

Thanks Steve
I saw this one coming, I was slowing for traffic to clear the intersection, looked in my mirror and pow. The ambulance ride was fun. I see the nuerosurgeon on Monday just to be sure all is ok. The x rays did not show any damage to the plate and screws but it hurts. Back to the topic. patrick

you guys are killing me, i'm so close to being done with my motor work I can taste it.
The only thing worse for a good pontiac is dust from the garage and a empty gas tank... |

Steve I have about 50 of them. One's hanging on the the wall waiting on me. If that one breaks it's getting an SFI rated one.

Had my GT out about 2 weeks now, went to a small local show in a nearby town about 25 miles away today. I'm always explaning to people about my GT-37 they have never heard of one, we like rolling in about 1- 2 hrs. before the show is over [can't sit still that long]then cruise back home with them,, trying to put a few miles on the new trans, motor combo before heading out on the hot rod power tour in early june.

I don't know if its a really a cruise, or a mad thrash. I drove my 62 Bonneville from Pueblo, CO to Austin TX for the Lonestar Round Up car show back the first week of April. I put 1900 l miles on her in 5 days. No problems except 13mpg and it needs some air shocks to deal with 700 lbs of passengers, plus trunk full of tools, spare, cooler, suitcases, etc.

Is It Cruising Weather Yet...?!
Hi All,
Greetings from sunless, coolish, windy, & WET southern Ontario, Canada, where we had MORE rain in one single April day this year, than we had ALL MONTH in 2010...!!! Here it is May already---and it's yet raining, again (sigh!). Oh well. We had to take the 1964 Pontiac Parisienne sedan out of its rented winter habitat last Saturday, and---you guessed it---it would NOT start after its 6 month hibernation. The solution...? A boost of its already pre-charged battery for extra cranking capacity, AND a jigger, or two, of gasoline manually poured down the open mono-jet carb of its straight 6 engine. What a treat driving that land barge: young kids actually crane their necks in passing cars, straining for a good long look at it---they can't, I'm sure, believe that anything that big is not a truck! Older folks in their walkers on the side of the street literally stop dead in their tracks staring at the thing. Obviously these cars have been away from the Canadian mainstream for far too long---I hope I can rectify that dismal situation in more ways than one this year---IF the weather ever improves for us, that is! 66 Bonne has been out several times! Seems like I have to wait a couple weeks between trips due to snow or rain tho. -This week looks promising up to the weekend.
