Default How fast on E85?

What kind of times are you E85 Pontiac guys running? Boost don't count! I know Torment funs real fast with his supercharger. I'm getting excited to fire up my 535 on the "green" fuel.

My best is in my signature...(not as fast as yours!!) but the difference for me from gasoline to e-85 was .14 of a second quarter mile and about 1.25 mph. I hope it runs well for you...if you need any tuning help ..let us know...Gene

i picked up .2 and 1.5 mph so far, still have some more tuning to do.
i also switched from a paper element fuel filter to a stainless mesh fuel filter for methanol.
The only other thing to upgrade is possibly fuel pump you want atleast 300 GPH.

I just got the carb converted by Mark Sullens and haven't used the E85 yet. I'm using an Aeromotive A2000 pump so I'm more than good. I took tomarrow off work and I'm hoping to have it running this weekend with some luck. Shooting for 8's this year. With the larger headers, convertor stall change, cylinder head porting, and E85 it better.

I converted 2 years ago when race fuel approached $7/gallon. Being primarily a street car, saving $5/gallon paid for itself already. Have only been to the track once since the swap but ran 10.63 @125 footbrake from idle for a gain of .14 with only initial tuning in the garage. Still some more there as left it rich to keep it safe.

All I changed was the carb Quick Fuel 950 from a 1050 Dominator (Excellent green carb)

Race gas smells much better than E85 I got it fired today but then the fuel pump relay decided to take a sh__ on me. Chief Pontiac must be mad at me.

I kind of like the smell of it. It does have a smell all it's own though.

Haha, yea I agree John.

Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered
some top lube and some new flavors I
haven't tried yet.
My favorite is probably cinnamon. The ones
you mentioned are good too.

I know this guy deals with E-85 a lot and has started building carbs for them. His Camaro runs on it.

His name is Eric Neifert. He won the first Hot Rod drag week a while back
