Behind the heater or AC box on the firewall.
(at least through 1974)

Rear frame rail I've been told just never looked. I've seen the one on the cowl on my 70 F.Icould be wrong but when I totally took apart the 70 I thought there was some no. stamped on the sheet metal that separates the trunk and interior.I'm looking now on my 'new' found 74.

Rear driver's side frame rail on top just past the wheel is supposedly one, but I've never seen one on an F-body, just on an A-body. Underneath the heater box is a partial and that's all I know of other than block stamping and the door sticker. No sheet metal was stamped with a VIN or partial in those days that I know of.

You do know the Firebirds don't have a real frame on the rear, like an A-body?
(not removable)

It would have to be stamped on the side of the welded on frame sections in the rear, if they had the VIN there.

Yup! But people keep insisting it's there in some places and yell at me when I tell them it doesn't ;-)

I am told on the inner structure of the driver's sail area. Never seen one though.

There may only be one hidden VIN but I am amazed at the amount of date coded parts and factory production numbers on these cars especially when the car is mostly original.Take for an example of my 76... my fenders have date codes...where my 80 doesn't..or I just haven't seen them.

There are likely more hidden vins. The one we all know about is too easy to find and alter if you are a crook. They are hidden and secret for a reason.

There are many more places on the F*body you can find hidden vin#, but only the people in area 51 know where to look and then you would be a security risk and subject to arrest and imprisionment.
