No J in the vin - is it a 4?

If it is, then you have a 68 GTO hardtop built in the Pontiac assembly plant likely built in late January.

It could be a 4. It was relayed to me from a friend. I didn't think it sounded correct buut I ran with it.

I'd bet it is a 4 also. A 2J vin prefix would be 1972-later but the rest of the vin does not match up to that either.
