I have made up my mind! I am going to let Norman paint the car and will add the pinstripe later! Maybe, I think, I don't know for sure.

I forgot you started this thread. If you ask us again after Norman paints your car, we all may feel different becuase we'll be driving our Jetson space cars and will be a lot older.

You can't tell from the paperwork. I have had two '66s, one with and one without, and still have the original paperwork, and neither says word one about the pinstripe.

I'm kind of sitting on the fence like gtorich on this subject as far as my mild custom '66 goes. I'm feeling like I'm going to put a pinstripe on it, but so far I haven't done it.

After having my 67 Convertible painted (Fathom Blue, new Parchment interior, new Parchment top), not only could I NOT put the pinstripes back on but I also could not reinstall the hood emblem (I had it filled in while doing the body work)
For what it's worth.

It is a killer combo...looking at the car from the side you see the parchment interior with headrests, a parchment convertible top cover...I just thought that I didn't need the additional white stripes to accentuate the color or the body lines.
Guess it is a personnal choice...In 2000, I bought a Dodge 2500 V-10 Sport 4x4 and had the dealership take off the SPORT emblem on the hood AND the V-10 emblem in the fenders....

Hey Punter, could you post a pic of your car, would like to see how that parchment looks against the paint.

my vote is stripe it, looks good and really makes the body lines and especially that huge rear quarter panel stand out too.

Just added the pinstipes to a customers 67 when we did some other work to it. I think it looks better with the pinstripes IMO.
