WHAT YEAR HAS EARLY SUBFRAME???
I know the 71-73 Ventura has the 67-69 Firebird subframe, what year did they change to the front steer subframe?
Also what year do the early control arms/spindles fit? GOt a 69 Firebird with a rebuilt front suspension and discs, want to put the whole assembly in a Ventura...Any advice appreciated. KV |

1975 and later has the front steer subframe that uses 2nd gen F-body suspension parts.

Be aware, even thought they use the same subframe and components as the 67-69 camaro/firebird up to the 74 Ventura or other X bodies, the 73-74 Ventura model years used a different, sillyass steering assembly than the previous years. The tie rods and draglink and pitman arm are different for those 2 model years. It does not affect the spindles or brake components and all that is needed to be done is to get rid of it and convert it to the earlier year for those parts.
The front sub was changed in 75. Your sub frame the 69 will work.
