ohc 4 bbl question
was the 4 bbl carb available without the sprint option? a friend looked at a 67 tempest convertible and it has a 4bbl on it. the car is in primer so it had no stripes.

They did indeed offer the 4bc engine as an “HO” type option separate from the
"Sprint/Sports Package" I've seen it in wagons and 4dr models as well. With that I would venture a guess that if you wanted one you could order one. No duel exhaust from the factory and you also could order your Sprint "Stripe Delete"

None had dual exhaust. Y-pipe into a single system. On the A Bodies, you could get stripe delete on the Sprint package. (No Sprint stripes for Firebirds) I know you could order a wagon with a 4 bbl that was not a Sprint package, but I do not think you could with the Tempest Convert.
Maybe Gary will chime in.... |

67 was only year you could get the 4 bbl without ordering a Sprint package
I had a 4 dr auto A/C car that was 4 bbl from factory but had the OHC-6 emblems. I know of another 4 dr that is a 4 speed and was same.
