Default Stock exhaust system for 74 GTO

Did a 74 GTO come with a transverse muffler system ? Just getting into learning about these cars.

I believe they did (although I could be wrong, as both of the 74 GTOs and all of the Venturas I have ever owned had no exhaust when I got them). I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

My very first 74 GTO I bought in 1985 still had the transverse?? muffler mounted up and down betwen the gas tank and rear end, and split off into dual tailpipes into splitters. For the life of me, I can't remember if it was a single pipe back to the muffler, or duals.
