FYI - The air cleaner is the same as a '73-'74 TA...

Yeah i have a 75 or later TA bottom at the moment and the offset is definitely off. Looking a pics of the two it's like the later base's are opposite of the 73 or 74 base.
thanks again

I'll dig around for the pic i have i would know it if i saw the correct one. Funny u say an early 455 that is exactly what i'm running in my 74. My friend thepontiacman hooked me up with a great deal on some E heads, harland sharpe rollers 1.6's and stud gurdle to go along with sheetmetal aluminum valve covers. The only problem is i was in a car accident a couple yrs ago and got a ruptured disk just above the hip so bending over into the hood with anything heavy is a definite problem lol. Being a unemployed disabled vet don't pay a lot when the home and utilities bills come in. Thanks for the help i've got so much done to the car for this one little minor problem is holding me up from showing off in it lol.

I've got an extra instrument panel but i would love to find a tack for the one i have.
About all i need now is the air cleaner base and driver side hood hinge but hinge's were put on so many cars i should find one when i'm able to go to the junk yard it's just a bit hard to get around with a lower back injury can't walk any distances without paying for it.
I sure would like to find those pieces reasonable but i understand people like myself are living in hard economic time these days I may just have to wait until i can afford one at there price. I don't believe in taking advantage of no one!!
Thanks for the help

Terry, I posted in your other thread stating that I bought one that works for $5 at a local yard. It's not visually correct, but it fits my 74 GTO. They have another one just like it, so if you want I can go see if they'll sell that one for the same price, although shipping might be more than it's worth....

Here's a couple of pictures of it...
