Default 75 Ventura Sprint old E-bay Auction

Just stumbled on this auction that ended a couple of weeks ago, very nic looking rare car that I think the seller is asking a bit to much $$$$ for.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/27103...1&_rdc=1#v4-41

any opinions? I beleive this one is Buick 350 powered. I would be very tepted for around $10,000

Isn't that the Ventura that went thru Barrett Jackson or Mecum auction awhile back?

I have not seen it before, so I do not know if it is the BJ or Mecum car, sorry. And I agree if it had a Pontiac engine it would be alot more desirable, but after having a couple of mid 70's Buick 350 powered cars I would not be afraid of it, god reliable engine, but a bit gutless compared to a Pontiac 350 4bbl.
But they sure do leak oil!!!!!!!! I never had any floor board rust issues an any Small Block Buick powered car I ever owned!!!!!

Whether it did or not, the seller certainly has Barrett Jackson fever. $17,900 is nuckin futs for one of these, even if it is "the most perfect Ventura Sprint coupe in the country"

Only 10,233 Ventura models produced in 1975 and only 1,478 with Sprint package.
I don't know where he got these numbers from, but it is totaly mis-leading. There had to be more than 40,000 '75 Venturas. The 10,233 must be for hatchbacks only.

I absolutely love the 75-77 Venturas, but I wouldn't give that much money for this car even if I hit the lottery. It's just a highly inflated price.

P.S. with the discription "TransAm style five spoke wheels" instead of Rally II, you know this is not a Pontiac guy. Just someone looking to make a killing.

There was a twin to this car in Old Car Trader online about three years ago. It was registered in Minnesota. Had mileage something higher than this and had been repainted (same color) but it was a true Sprint. It seems like it was a non-hatchback IIRC. If it was a hatchback, I'd think this might be the same car with a mild restoration.
Asking price was somewhere between $5,000-$10,000.

I'm glad Jeff posted this because I can at least save the photos to my computer.

Build sheet for the eBay Sprint shows delivered to zip 55416, Minneapolis. Hmmmmm
I'm not positive about the odometer reading from the TraderOnline Sprint, but I do remember it was originally sold in Minnesota.
I'm beginning to think this is the same Ventura. Wish I had saved the information back then, but I didn't have my own computer.
