Default cleaning white conv. top ideas

ok all you conv. owners, what are yu using to clean your vinyl tops? mine is starting to get a little grey.

I also have a low lincoln town car with a white vinyl top that has some black spots all over it that wom't come out with just soap and water.

I tried bleech white on both cars with no real improvement.

thanks, Chris

the chemicals in bleach white will turn it yellow...

clorox touch up is the best thing i ever found, it takes work, but it works, work 6 square inches at a time and a fine brush..lots of work, but ive saved tops that where grey

I have never tried this on a conv top but I use the Mr. Clean Erasers to clean my white raised letters on my tires and it works great. Works great on the shop walls to.

When I had a white top on my car when it was almost new back in the
70's, I always put a little comet on a wet soapy rag and scrubbed it lightly......always
got it white again. I never found anything else that worked as well. I got tired of fighting
my white top and interior and changed to black around 1980......smartest thing I ever did!

I use Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Plus D103. Mix it 4 to 1, spray on and scrub brush lightly. Power wash it off. I have used this on white vinyl tops and they come out looking new. Top it off with RaggTopp Vinyl Protectant. Hope this helps.
