Default '70 Gas Tank Strap Insulators

Did '70 cars come with rubber insulator between the gas tank and the mounting straps? Also, has anyone purchased one of the stainless repro gas tanks? I'm wondering how they compare to the originals as far as contour goes. Thanks in advance.

Don't know about the insulators, although I do know my 69 never
had any. I have stainless tanks from Auto City Classic in both my GTO and my 70
Chevelle SS and they are gorgeous and identical to the originals, although I bought one
for another 69 GTO that was a customer's and it looked to be made by a different
manufacturer even though it came from Auto City Classic and it was correct except
it didn't have the correct ribbed flex section on the filler pipe next to where it goes into
the tank. I bought this tank in between when I bought the tank for my GTO and for
my Chevelle so go figure.
