Can you weigh those rims? Just wondering how they compare the the YearOne Ralley II's (which are heavy). Thanks.

Thanks for the pics. Not sure that would work out. Guessing might have better luck just trying to get the lucite to work w/in the center cap that came on the rims. Might take some work to figure this one out.
Thanks again for the pics.

Thank you for the pix.
I agree, not sure about their compatability. I still like these... could even have some custom centers engraved. Hmmmm....

I'm interested to know as well. But I already expect they will be HEAVY, since these are the one-piece cast. There is a two-piece forged version, but $ will go up exponentially.

Drilling out the US Mag cap to accept the lucite section of the PMD cap would be the way to go. Then use glue or some keyway to attach the lip to the back to the cap.The US Mag logo outside circle is 1.670" and the lucite exposed is 1.8" + or -. The problem I see is that to do this work you (by this I mean me) would need to take this to a machine shop. I personally wouldn't do this on a drill press with a hole saw.
Sorry I can't weigh the wheels by themselves now the tires are on them and the wheels are on the car. Hope this helps , George |

I have a pair of YO Rally IIs on my Lemans and they are thick cast aluminum. Because of this I needed to add extended wheel studs because the original ones did not come far enough through the wheel to get proper engagement between the stud and lug nut. If you don't want to do this others have used extended thread lug nuts.

John,
That is not the case with these wheels . I got 5 full revolutions with the supplied lug nuts. They are nothing special just short shank capped chrome lug nuts. I could have used my black cap originals but I liked the way the supplied chrome ones look better.I did have to buy a 1/2" deep thin wall socket set to install the wheels though. They are anodized and have a removable white plastic non scratch sleeve on them, $40.00 from summit. If you check out the left thumbnail pic in post 21 you can see how recessed the mounting holes are .That is the front wheel the back is not that inset but still uses regular nuts. I'll post pics this weekend Mike. I promise. George Last edited by blue goats; 04-17-2013 at 06:21 PM. |

So does anyone have a link that contains the wheel weight of these? I couldn't find one. Or can you weigh the wheel and tire combo - the tire mfgs usually post a weight of the tire somewhere, so we can do the subtraction.
