How would it work in a street car? Does it require hard shifter throws? Are half the synchros ground off?

It's a drag race trans only. Slick shifted, no blocker rings.

It probably shifts great wide open with no clutch pedal. Any street driving would require a "double clutch" move to get it in to the next gear. BTW, those are some beefy shift linkage rods!

What the modification does is eleminator blocker rings in the cluster.
On a stock manual trans, when you make shifts the blocker ring slows the cluster down when the clutch is pushed in so you have a smooth engagement when shifting gears. Under full throttle and at higher rpm's a trans with blocker rings will not shift quickly under full throttle.
This modification will allow a trans to shift under full throttle while fanning the clutch and it will shift every time.
The Gforce and Jerico transmissions have dogs which takes the place of synchros .

I apologize if this is a stupid question but you only have 3 of the gear ratios listed, am I right in assuming that it is a 4 spd with a 1:1 4th or is it really a 3 spd? What kind of tq should this trans put up with using slicks on a track? I realize theres more to the question than that like rear gear ratio and vehicle weight but how strong is this trans generally speaking?

Yes the 4 gear is 1 to 1. Trans could handle up to about 550 to 600 tops for hp with slicks. If you run a slipper clutch it would help make faster runs and extend the life and relieability of the drivetrain. My friend Truman ran 10.80's with a 3500 pound firebird with a 400

Will it bolt in place of a Muncie. Does it require a specialty clutch set up? I currently have a M-22 and a Centerforce Dual friction clutch. I race it and it works pretty good.

Uses the same flange pattern as a Munce/T10. Has a 26 spline gm input. You can run any clutch you want. I'll throw in A fresh steel hat 8" dual disc clutch assembly with flywheel for a 100.00 for anybody who buys this trans or my G101.
