Default Pontiac,car,service station jackets/shirts

I hope this is the correct forum for this. If not mods can move it.
These are NOT mine and I don't know the the seller, but I bought a jacket with a "Mobil" logo off this guy and was very impressed when it arrived. I ended up ordering 2 more as Christmas presents a few days later. I then asked the seller if he could embroider any Pontiac logos on his jackets, and he came up with this-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Used-XL-Pont...item3cd6d84c71

Now I'm considering getting a 4th!
Just figured I'd pass this along as his prices are reasonable and he had it to my door in 3 days. He has a lot of different sizes available, and embroiders your name in it if you want.

No problem Boss.
Yeah,if anybody else wants one just check out his "store",or shoot him a message. It looks like he made up a couple. He could always make up more I would think as he put these on only after I asked him,so I would think he could make up other sizes too.
I always thought embroidered looked nicer than a patch too, which was one of the things that impressed me.

I got mine today and it's first rate!

The Service patch is not a patch but embroidered right into the jacket and very cleanly done.

The jacket is in super condition - almost new. Well worth the money!

I went ahead and got my name embroidered on it too - for $3.00 you can't beat it!

That's why I posted this here. I was impressed with the quality. I think the embroidery is a lot nicer than a patch or iron on. The guy is in the same state as me but he mailed it on Monday after I bought it over the weekend, and I had it by Wed.
Glad you liked it.
The 2 other jackets I bought off of him came in last week and looked as good as my first jacket. All 3 look like they were almost new.

How do they fit? Are the sizes true or do you need to order a size larger than what you normally wear? I seldom by an insulated jacket and I wear a large in my regular jackets. It would be cool to wear it to some of the car shows if it got cold enough to do so.

I'm about 6'0" and 220 lbs.,I wear an XL,and mine fits just like my XL Carhart waist length jackets do. I was afraid of this too,I thought since it is used maybe it would be shrunk, but it wasn't. The tag on mine says it's 65% polyester 35% cotton,so I guess it could shrink some.

I just looked at the jacket again and the Pontiac in the patch doesn't look right. The letters are different sizes. Is this the case with the ones Y'all have bought?

I'm 6'-1" & 205 and the XL is a bit large on me but fits well over a sweatshirt - I too figured it would fit smaller.

I just looked again at the jacket & think the lettering on the embroidery looks fine. The "patch" is very nicely detailed.

My stitching looks perfect too. The one I bought says "Mobilgas" and then has a logo of the red winged Pegasus.
The 2 others I bought for gifts have the "VW" logo on them, and both look perfect.
If it were not for my "gut",a L would fit me better, but I need the XL for my belly.

I just went to the parts store to get some calipers for a brake job. NAPA,where I have an account, was closed. So I went to another parts store where they don't know me. After setting my parts on the counter the guy asks what my account # is. I told him "What ever gets me a cheaper price!" He said he saw the Mobil jacket that I was wearing and thought I was picking up parts for the service station. He did knock off $6 per caliper anyway.

Anyway I took a few pics of my jackets firefighter. The material looks a little light because of the flash, but they are a dark blue. Not the greatest pics, they probably would have looked better from a farther away shot.

I just ordered an XL Pontiac Jacket with my name on it, based solely on this topic. It sounds like a cool jacket. I'll post again when it arrives.

Hope you like it. I gave my SIL his Monday (I figure it will be too cold around here by Christmas). He was happy as heck to get it. He works at a small foreign car repair shop,so his boss lets him wear it at work too.

It came in today. The embroidery looks great. The Pontiac logo and my name came out exceptional. The Jacket it's self is nice too. I am 6ft and around 215-220 pounds. I ordered an XL-RG. It fits fine, but is more of a spring jacket for me in that size. It is comfortable and warm, but I'm thinking of ordering a larger size for Winter time. If you have not ordered one, don't hesitate. They are nice.

These are too cool - Dangerman rules. I ordered a jacket for me and My Pal Dave, and I ordered a short sleeved blue and white striped gas station shirt for me. They are great and the quality is first rate. I'm 6'-4" and weigh 18 stones. I ordered an XXL and the fit is true, but not extra roomy. Here are a few pictures.
