Default 1969 firebird convertible 4 speed Ram Air

I have a 1 of 87 built Ram III 4 speed Convertible

This is a 2 family car...
110600 original miles
1 repaint..
this is not a restored car ... it is a orig 1 repaint car. worth way more as per the experts. but what do they know lol..
engine is as factory ( minus a replaced water pump)

this car is a very rare car. with some serious options.
Car is double documented ( GM of Canada )
I have the cars story from Day one. ( from special order to today)
#'s matching minus replacement water pump (that's the wrong date code)
Ram Air WQ 400 ( orig #'s matching never removed)
4 speed ( orig #'s never out)
3.90 HD limited slip "drag pak" rear end ( special order , Original)
power steering
power roof
tilt steering
orig black interior ( clean)
repainted factory Palladium Silver in 1996
dog dish hubcap 15 steel rims with red line tires ( new)
protecto plate etc.. |( has 18 inch foose legends on it but comes with the orig rims with new tires)
Car NEVER got the ram air parts put on they are new in the truck as the car left the factory. ( as per GM rules no cars over 1 HP per 10 Lbs)

Ok so in 2010 BJ sold a green on green one for $76,000.00 (
pleas look it up to verify) This car is appraised at 125,000 18 months ago. But as you cant replace it that's a moot point and of no meaning.
SO Whats it worth to sell?.. Well that's the age old question... I know I have a bottom line. and you will have a top. but if anyone is thinking of a offer of 10-20-30-40 etc.. don't email me.
I don't need the money.. but on the other side.. I am playing with a few other cars and it never hurts to spend more on building toyz.
I have lots of pictures.
whatever you need ...
Car is in Kelowna BC Canada in my heated Garage.
asking $86,800 OBO
jmackee@gmail.com

Before people say that's TA money. lets clarify -Only 87 Ram III firebird 4 speed convertibles built.
There were 8 TA convertibles( 4 were 4 speed ram III) last one that sold when for 2.23 million plus a buyers fee. There is NO Ram IV 4 speed TA convertible.
There were 12 special order RA IV 4 speed convertible firebirds and I was told one past hands this fall for $786,000. Also there is a well known auction company trying to get my car for there event January on TV but I will not take the risk of NO RESERVE with my car even if they are saying "could hit 150,000+ in primetime".

asking $86,800 OBO

Also have a 72 Trans Am 455 HO 4 speed (#'s) project to sell if someone wants to tackle it asking 20G ( carb to pan, rebuilt M22 #'s)

asking 82,800 OBO

Very neat car, but from a marketing standpoint I think you'd be much better off removing the bling wheels and putting the originals back on.

Yes ( as the ad states comes with the original rims caps and new red line tires) These rims tires were on for a photo shoot for a magazine. they are not with the car ( unless buyer wants them)

Awesome car! Looks vaugely familiar Mine too has only had one repaint and I can trace the ownership back to the original owner from the second owner (who repainted it) that I remain in contact with. I have about 80,000 original miles and my car is extremely unmolested as well. I have factory air conditioning as my car was delivered in Orlando, Florida, so my limited slip rear is only a 3.23. I do believe that your car would have come with 14" rims as mine did, unless the 3.90 rear had a factor in that.

Best of luck with your sale! I think your asking price is one heck of a deal, but I do have skin in the game. I have not seen 1 of the 87 cross the auction block - would be interesting to see.

"Car NEVER got the ram air parts put on they are new in the truck as the car left the factory. ( as per GM rules no cars over 1 HP per 10 Lbs)"

Does this mean the ram air parts come with the car, but they were never installed?

Would agree. Take the hooptie wheels off and go with the stock Rally 2's when marketing to a crowd that wants originality. Great car. Is there a pic of the PHS?

I thought the engine and ram air inlet were listed as two options on ram air cars? Or is that shown differently on Canadian paperwork?

as you see on the second sheet it is stated
L74 Ram Air
not L74 400 HO
I do not know if anyone knows the break down for ho to ram air of the 87... told it was 3-1 but again I don't know ...

Yes, 69 Firebirds had a separately listed option 611 for the pans and related pieces. If it had been ordered with that option in addition to the L74 engine, it would be listed on the documentation. The other indication would be that the hood was different, no holes in the hood to mount "400" emblems. It would have had "Ram Air" decals instead.

That is true. This car was not ordered with ram air. Just has the engine. Cool car either way.

Yes I believe this topic has been gone round and round here before. either way cool car I like it. I saw a mafaire maize convert that I was negotiating a deal to buy in this past year,, same exact set up wq l74 motor 4 speed just no air inlet ordered thus it was not a ram air iii. The car had original paint, original owner and all reciepts since new, including order form, L74 checked off "WQ" , no air inlet check off. I know it sounds silly but that's how it was explained to me,
