Felpro 1233 for 6X on older Intakes
Is the Felpro 1233 a whole engine rebuild kit or just the intake gaskets? I have a complete rebuild set, and need only to seal the hole. My attempt to seal the hole in the passenger head failed. I think maybe the high temp epoxy was old and it never became a solid.

Find a 72 intake, problem solved.

I did it:
Worked fine, no problems at all. It's just the intake gaskets, what you see in the picture (plus the rubber o-ring). |

That gasket looks like it would work great for the mis-match.

Works perfectly. The 1233 intake gasket kit comes with multiple blockoff plates, depending on what you want to block. Crossover and the hole over it, or crossover only.

Just a note, if you attempt to use the block off option with that gasket set, those felpro blockoff inserts will burn through pretty quickly. They did for me anyways, every time i tried'em.

I want to maintain my exhaust crossover, just close the upper hole in the 6X head.

No issues at all with the blockoff plates. Still look brand new except surface soot and carbon deposits. I never cut a blockoff plate to check, but it seems there is an aluminum sheet between the gasket layers. There is a blockoff plate just for that in the kit |

Block offs...
If you want to block it off use the 1233 gaskets and get a pair of stainless steel block off plates from Kauffman Racing Equipment or Tin Indian Performance for $13.00 a pair. These plates fit the 1233 gaskets perfect...

Or i understand a piece off a kitchen spatula works well. But it can cause marital issues if you get caught!
