Hey but he's willing to SELL IT TO YA for a price....Unreal how someone can even mention that in a serious ad...For crying out loud, do you not think with such a high BIN price that you can maybe include those items???

While it's a free country and anyone is free to do whatever they want with their car, and how they sell it (in theory). I do begrudge sellers like this. Dishonesty is never justified. So we must accept that either A: this person is dishonest B: He is totally ignorant of his ignorance C: He is mentally deficient in some major way.

Any one of these choices is bad for the market, bad for our hobby, bad business in general. I guess some will say Caveat Emptor, "sucker born every minute" etc. Well, I hate those people, those are the people that steal from people like me, who make the error of assigning a minimum level of honesty to the average guy.

It would be a different world if it was legal to go back and slap someone upside the head when you find out they lied to you. And of course... not enough people show thanks and appreciation to the honest sellers either.

When I get to the pearly gates ...I'll be able to honestly say I never screwed anyone out of anything in my entire life. That means nothing to most people these days, but it means plenty to me, and to the people that brought me up back in Tenn. when I was a child.

I gotta admit, after being in the vintage motorcycle restoration/racing hobby for years, I was totally amazed how dishonest the muscle car market was compared to motorcycles. I couldn't count how many times a motorcycle part seller would advise me NOT to buy his part because it was the wrong one, not what I was looking for, etc. etc. Getting screwed was the exception to the rule, not the norm. I hate to say it, but in the vintage car hobby, it seems a person is more likely to get screwed than find an honest deal. You have to be very careful. And I'm very thankful when I find someone who treats me with the same honest I would treat them.

If it was a hardtop and could cook, I'd marry it.

Yes, pretty car, but "attention to detail" boastful sellers peddling $100k cars shouldn't have $5 exhaust hangers from KMart and droopy $20 fiberglass RA pans when a nice metal repop that actually holds it shape can be had for $200 -- what's that in the face of your car being worth $150,000....afterall!

No question that it's overpriced Dennis...but still, it's pretty.

C'mon Greg, let me have a LITTLE fun poking! I miss the ebay auctions like that orange painted lemans with the chrome nose, no tail light, marker light changes, still had a 350 2spd tranny, that was "a PERFECTLY cloned Judge that even the best Pontiac people wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the real thing" !!!

The auction was ended by the seller, due to an "error in the listing". I'm guessing he forgot to load the $150,000 reserve price.

I'm trying to figure out what someone had in mind when they reversed the tailpipe direction? Sounds like he has a lot of Poncho parts coming up so I saved him.

well, my first guess was that the artist was stuck with two right side manifolds and needed to convert one into a left. Then, the more I look at it, the less sense it makes. Unless there's a ton of room in a 66 Cat engine compartment, that pipe looks like it would terminate beyond the firewall. Maybe the guy lived in Alaska and REALLY didn't want to wait for the heater core to get warm enough to start heating the cabin so he vented the exhaust directly to his cold wittle tozeys... That's an awful lot of work to just to flip a right to a left. I'm not too up on mid 60's full sizes...but didn't the left side manifolds exit in the middle instead of the rear? Maybe there was some kind of customized clearance issue. either way, I don't think they cared much about performance, look at the flow (or lack there of) coming from the end ports!

yeah he's got a ton of it listed already, no screaming deals but a bunch of parts to look at to pass the time.
