I read something similar. I thought it said he was worth over $8 million and Dennis over $35 million. I think this is more of a hobby than business supporting his life.

I pulled up their address-just a little further west on Luna Road we used to go street racing back in the day. Set them up on Forest Lane then drive ot Luna or Arapaho.
In fact in that general area the Blue Max funny car's shop was around. Back when funny car's were not multi million dollar teams.

Watched it last night.....I think t/a man hit it on the head. I have a friend who bought his '66 GTO from a little old lady and drove it like he stole it right off the bat...with 10 year old motor oil in it because the car had been sitting. Blew up the #'s engine almost immediately. Abusing and disrespecting machinery that has been out of service with old and tired lubricant is a recipe for disaster. Like the gas monkey guys, but they got what they deserved. I stopped side-stepping my clutch when I was about 25....got tired of replacing broken parts. Maybe they'll get tired of blowing up perfectly good cars.....nah.

Heard through a reputable source the Gas Monkey idiots got a hold of two very early '69 Firebirds to "restore"... Not watching. never watch. Just another puppymill builder, cutting corners, all in the name of a quickee build & screw'n a dufus buyer.

Ya , he wanted a Bandit car & ended up with a cutlass with a stupid looking bird on the hood. Who in there right mind would drive a car with that monkey face on there hood. The olds engine in that bird will never be as good as a bad Pontiac engine, Why they didn't put a real Pontiac engine in the bird when they had the olds engine out I'll never know , other then they don't know what the hell there doing. I know they don't have a clue about the cars they try to put together. Plus the fools they find to buy those pieces of junk. WOW!!!!!!

I'm about to do the first repaint on my 77 SE Bandit. Who makes the best kits for the stripes and decals? Also, who makes those 17"wheels that they are using in the show?

I am fairly sure that Year One makes those wheels. I am looking to get a set myself.

It was said in the program by that erin guy that the wheels were from year one.

Year On had them made (17"ers) but most all the repop companies carry them.
Adding a real Pontiac motor they would not have even needed to swap trannies!

All these shows are staged to some degree, In some episodes its most of the show. But, if it was all "real" TV, we would get bored with it quick, even though we can see through it as is. In the Bandit episode, the shop guy who played the Sherif was hilarious. Perfect fit for that role (I can't remember his name)
It's one of my favorite shows too. Those guys are just funny, I can't help but think they are exactly as they appear on the show. So many of these other shows are such a joke. AKA "texas car wars" that is a terrible show. Watched it about 4 times to make sure it was bad. Yep, all four were bad & predictable.

I'm guessing that must have been a California designated 1977 with a 403?

Yea the CA cars got Olds motors.
Looks like the car might be in a give away from some ads.
