Bolt Finish
I have been wondering what the factory finish was on the exposed bolt heads at the bottom of the front fenders. These are the 3/8" bolts on an F-body with big washers. If the fenders are painted off the car, are these bolts body color or plan? I guess the same question goes for all bolt (heads) that fasten body colored panels to the car.

If I recall correctly my Firebird body bolts were all black oxide originally, and classic rust by the time I got to them. Since I'm not going for concours restoration my goal is for finish durability and rust resistance. All of my body bolts are powdercoated in matte black, and other plain steel bolts have been replaced with stainless.
