Hi Guys, just bought a 77 trans am to part out and it has the hurst 3 speed auto shifter in it. Is this an original part (see photo) not sent off for the PHS yet as im sure this would be stated on it.

NOT available as an OEM item......

Hurst made one sold as an aftermarket item that fit the console with an "integrated" top plate....

Yours may be robbed from a Cutlass 442 or 67-68 GTO.........? they offered one optionally...

Its not '67 or '68 GTO. Could be 442, as has the handle with the jog in it is also Olds useage, but the stands look wrong for '70 & later 442.

Am betting the shifter is an aftermarket Hurst Dualgate for '73-81 Camaro's & '70-81 Birds.
Looks like it needs disassembling & replating. Do you have the plastic top plate?

Oh, so would never have been sold new with this then..
Yeah, going to strip it down and make it look like new again..Not got top plate or bezel, going to get in touch
with last owner and see if he has it somewhere..

The metal top is very narrow, the more I look at it, the more I'm thinking '70-72 Olds usage.
