1111054 1964 GTO Distributor
Recently had my original 1111054 1964 GTO points distributor restored and recurved by PY member Suntuned, it came out looking very nice. Even has a set of NOS Delco points installed in it.
This one will end up on my 1964 421 HO, it was set up by Suntuned for a 9.3:1 compression engine with the 068 cam.

I agree. It looks like the band was clear coat while on the distributor.

This distributor was recurved to fit my certain application so the vacuum advance can is not a factory unit nor did I ask for one to be used.
As long as it runs properly with my slightly modified 9.3:1 compression 421 HO I'll be happy, absolute correctness was not really a factor when having this distributor redone. Trying to use all 1964 parts on my car (a 1964 LeMans convertible) for the sake of nostalgia and because 1964 is my favorite year, beyond that I really don't sweat the little details all that much. |

Housing is a tad shiny than original.
I.d. Band is not clearcoated it was done seperately. Vac advance is NOT correct. Wire lead is NOT correct either. It is very functional and built like he wanted. I've got original parts still but they stay here for a rainy day as I have very few and what's left ain't for sale. Shoulda seen the before pic. |
