Default 64 spinner caps

Are the caps all stainless steel? Or flash chromed? Mine has some small dents so need to know prior to repair.

A few years ago, there was a repro spinner available for the '64 covers. Does anyone remember who had those?

I had a set of those. Good pieces but if I remember correctly, the spinners didn't have Pontiac motor division on them. Or was that the reproduction spinner that was sold seperately?

Remove the inner ring by drilling out 1 set of rivets , then the dings can be fixed . But usually the metal will then be thinner and can ding more easily when being installed . Then re-rivet the inner ring back on . All is stainless except for the spinner bar .

IIRC the spinner without Pontiac was used on Canadian cars.

To Crisp So if you drill out 1 set of rivets will you able to take the inner steel hub completely off? I have just heard that drilling a opening thru the metal hub and then drill where dent is and punch the dent out to expose to tap level and sand out?

So can you remove by hand once rivets are drilled out? Is it an easy process, no tools necessary? Your advise! thanks
