Fuel squirting out
Car running like crap today and when i diconnected the fuel line from the carb (edelbrock) it sprayed fuel a stream went as far as over the fender it was deff pressurized and i have a clear fuel filter and could see many bubbles it seemed to percolate large and small after i shut the car off... The car wont idle right its stggers and a few other idle issues...is this from an air leak or a pin hole somewhere in the fuel line? And wher should i look? thanks

Sounds normal, since there is some fuel pressure that can stay in the line to the carb. So when you disconnect it, it can spray out.

The bubbles are most likely fuel vapor that is formed in the line and then trapped in the high spot of the filter. Totally normal, and especially on a hot soak. That's the second problem with a clear filter - you can see the bubbles where if you had a steel filter, you wouldn't see them. Oh yeah, first problem is they have a reputation for burning your car to the ground.
If they are actually air bubbles, then it has to be on the siphon side of the pump. Most likely place is the short section of rubber hose between tank and hard line at the back of the car.

Its a new motor and an old fuel tank i wanted to see if there was any junk from fuel tank the clear filter is temporary and i had one come apart on me once... Its a 73 455 dual plane edel and edel carb the fuel lines when i checked didnt seem that hot i just never remember pulling a fuel line offf and fuel sprays out it just usually leakes out i switched carbs to really no avail... And i had the car at the track and it bogged bad at the lights but was fine in the burn out box and was breaking up the top end, mid range was fine... Im gonna hav to go over everything today i guess and check but any help is very much appreciated
