This is pic of my 63 ragtop. I started this project in 2009. Many thanks to all post and info from everyone that posted so I could get this far. The car was restored 25 years ago at a tech school. When I started it was 99% rust free. The slant 4 166hp is out for a ring job and gaskets it sat out side for 5 years, just needs a fresh start.

It's the Blue Water bridge going from Port Huron Michigan to Sarnia Ontario.

Can't beat Nocturne Blue. Is that a stock interior color combo?

According to the PHS docs the blue/white interior color is correct for the car, although I can't say if the details are all correct. My parents had a new Tempest convert just like this one, except it had blue interior. I was 15 when they bought it, later took my driver's license test in it, and loved the car until they traded it in '65. Their car was a 3 speed stick 326, ours is auto. Frankly, the stick was a sloppy, cranky, fragile and noisy setup even when new, so I'm happy with the auto.

Thanks. Bought it last Fall from Bill Mawby in Wisconsin. We are in CT. Bill corrected many flaws while he owned the car and was pretty meticulous. It has an incorrect AFB on it (note the fuel line heading off to the passenger side); I have a correct carb now and am trying to find time to swap it in. Nice driver, very torquey, has a great set of mufflers, sounds like heaven.

We finally got my son's Tempest done. We started it, but gave it to my uncle to finish. Thanks to all on this list who helped with parts. Here are a couple of pics we took last weekend when picking it up.
The money shot First Drive - you can see the color very well here After 7 years of waiting, he's happy to finally drive it Don Wells, Builder & Al Alba, Painter.

Great looking 63 Tempest! I really like the color. Do you think the kid is excited, the smile tells the story!

Ok well at least it finally came out of the garage after a few years and the upgrade front parts I got from Banshee went on and mocking up some little Hoosiers on back so I can setup rear soon. Next time I share a pic hopefully all primer same shade and or also topped in rattle can flat white with chrome trim polished.

Great looking white Tempest. Is this
an original rear end, if so what size are you rims and slicks?
Thanks Rick
