My '72 Grand Prix J model hands down. Too bad a case of tin worm and ZERO replacement panels (in 1996) sent her to the scrap yard.

I agree (wheels too). I love the color and interior color combo. You just don't see many '60s Mercurys. Beautiful car.

Great looking Merc Tambo. Not crazy about the wheels but they do set off it's looks. A 66 land yacht with class.

Was going to pick my first car. 64 Plymouth Sport Fury.426 wedge-4-speed. One heck of a fast car but it was in the shop so often i didn't get to drive it much.So it has to be my second car a 1970 BMW 2002. A sports car that seated 4 and had a decent trunk. I installed Alpina springs,Bilstein Sport shocks, and 19 mm adjustable sway bars.Handled like a go-cart.Would eat a Datsun 240Z on a winding back road. Owned the car for 8 years and 200,00 plus miles till the Pa. salt turned it to dust. This was the car that saved BMW.Would love to own another but good examples are bring way to much money.Saving my money for another Pontiac.

My favorite car, and the one that I take pride in is my 71 T/A because my Dad and I built it in our garage. Everything from drivetrain to paint was done by us. I still have a few kinks to work out, but Im happy with it.
The most fun car to drive is the Ws6 though.

Thanks for the compliments on the Park Lane guys.
The color is Emberglow. A previous owner put the wheels on it but he kept the 15" originals with "Premium" wire caps and they came with the car. Here's how it looked ... |

I like those better..maybe with a slightly larger tire. Good looking with either setup though.

Hi from NW Florida. Of so many great cars I've had, I would say the one I want back is a 1969 Emerald Green with white stripe Super Bee, very original with just a small amount of rust behind both rear fenderwells, a $500 buy in high school. A close 2nd is any current driver, none since I just sold a 1956 Chevy Bel Air 4dr ht, which I hope to replace with a Triumph TR8 when I get it running.
Then would be my next project, a 1961 Catalina convertible, a series of swaps that started with a free RV motorhome. Then a tie between a 1955 Bel Air 2 dr ht and a 57 BA convertible. Hmmm sort of tie between 1982 Porsche 911 and a 1971 Kharmann Ghia. Had a 289 4spd 65 Mustang in high school also, and 6 years ago a 1966 Stang Fastback. I can't leave out a 1988 Buick Reatta that I put 180,000 miles on, great road car, I sort of replaced it with a project 1990 Reatta convertible, yet to be on the road. So many cars, so little money, Triumph TR7, 1970 Malibu convertible, 1964 Impala SS convertible, 1968 Camaro conv, traded foolishly for a 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. |

"... owned"? Or "now own"? Of all the cars I've had since 1954, the Wangers-built "Bandit" that I'm still driving ranks right up at the top. Thanks Jim!

My favorite Pontiacs are the two I have right now- my '66 Tempest Custom 4-door hardtop and my 2000 Daytona Pace Car GTP. They are my favorites because they are the only two cars I have had that have not had some sort of rust issue (both are California cars) and both represent the newfound success in my career. I just bought a new shortblock for the GTP and will be getting that back on the road soon and I have a fresh 400 and Turbo 350 that want to go in the Tempest. Could be fun!

The car I miss having the most is the 1967 Buick Riviera I had my senior year.
The car I miss driving the most is my 1993 Ford Probe GT, 118,000 miles in 4 years and every one was a blast. The car I'm going to be buried in...probably the 1966 Tempest...yep, that will be it! |

Of the cars I owned the longest, my favorite would be the one with the most memories associated - my grandfather's 1963 Chevy II SS. I ended up with it in 1982. I raced it in Super Gas/Street and D/C Gas for 25+ years.

My '66 Tempest Custom wagon that I still have. Bought it from my stepdad in 1982 and he bought it from the original owner in 1970. Served me well as faithful transportation through High school and a couple of jobs after that. Had 292,000 miles on the old 326 when I yanked that and the ST300 for the 455/TH400 setup. Used it as a daily driver for 2 more years after that. As since been a very fun weekend cruiser that I am always improving upon and updating. My second "favorite" is my "daily driver" "cruiser" 1974 Olds Cutlass Supreme 2 dr (highly optioned car) that is a pleasure just to ride down the road in. Very smooth (but controlled) ride as well as a bulletproof engine (Olds 350).

I ran across Robert in it several years ago on I-40 (west central Oklahoma) on a cold day. 700R4 had just pooped again, he said he was going back w/ the TH400.... He was towing the PontiCarlo on an open trailer, or I might not of have noticed it as easily...

My first car was a 68 GTO lots of good memories and of my 69 Chevelle SS but my current 71 GS is the most I enjoy. Take it out every chance I get.
