Default seat belts

Question what is everyone doing with there old seatbelts? I have three sets of 5 point belts out of my racecar that are like.

When I was in Illinois, we sold them to the circle track guys.
(usually at swap meets after the year was over)

Call the manufacturer and see if they will re-web them (some will). The hardware is the most expensive part.

As Eric mentioned, see if the manufacturer will re-web and re-certify them. Also, DJ Safety has an "other manufacturer" exchange program for driver restraints if you want to exchange them. In each case you can re-use them or sell them as in-date driver restraints, which should fetch you a little more money. Contact me if you need more info.

I used to get mine rewebbed but the last time I tried Simpson said NO. I also sell them to the circle track guys.

You figure the circle track guys are more likely to get banged around and if open wheeled upside down than drag racers and they can still use belts over 2 years. Most of even our drag cars are indoors not outside getting 24/7 UV damage to the webbing-even like factory belts do so why are they "bad" at 2 years??
