Are all the money bets legit? I think there was one episode where the bet was 7500.00 for the one pass. There seems to be alot of high dollar bets going on,,,,2-3-4 thousand..thats a tough loss if you lose or visa versa i guess.

The racing may be real but the bets and exchange of money is staged for TV. When Tuff and the Sonoma raced for $10,000, the exchange of money was a small fold of bills. One hundred $100 bills is a large stack (10 stacks actually ) of money.

It is over and done with, the Texas Camaro went home with the dough, PERIOD.
The 405 had their act together and were the first ones to admit they were beat by a better car. Why is accepting that so hard for you guys? Justin will be WAY BAD next fall. Tom V.

I don't think the Camaro was from Texas. I think it was from Mississippi. And it was fast!

In searching the Internet, it looks like Kye is from New Orleans. At least he was representing them in the past when he lost.

Not good....
http://www.tmz.com/2015/03/05/izzy-v...cing-accident/ I really like the show but this kind of publicity may make it hard for Discovery to continue it. |

I did see the trailer for the new season, looks like Chuck may have flipped his car. All it'll take is a bad wreck on set to end it all. Whether you like the show or not, it's not very safe. More of a "movie stunt" type production set, but with much high speeds. Most movies and shows are shot at slow speeds and edited to appear fast. I don't suspect the show will last much longer. On another topic I read Chris now has all the production rights back to Pinks and was looking to bring it back. IMO a race show like SO using smaller venue tracks in a format like their Cash Days would be a nice show.

I don't race for TV money or fake bets. I only race for real money. If you ever see me race for free (like when I race Dave, Monza, or shawn) it's only because they won't bet me real money. Some guys on the show race for fake money causs they think it makes them look cool, but that ****s gay. There was a couple times early on that they made it look like I was the one racing for big money when our bet was the normal 1500-3000. Nothing I can do about editing. But I can guarantee I race for real money. Kye took home 14k dollars cash, I took home 2 grand for runner up. The show didn't air that. They made it look like he took home all 16k lol

We are filming season 5 at the moment, and just been exercised for season 6....thats 15-20 more episodes to film in 2015, and with ratings breaking records every week....We have the projected numbers to stay on air for a long time! Kinda cool huh!!!

Love the show, easy to see why it's on such a roll and quickly gaining in popularity.
Great seeing how the heavy-hitters out there make it happen. Best of luck to you Justin and to everyone else who makes Street Outlaws a success. Bart

Do you run a 3 or 2 speed trans? With your Racepak are you running an O2 in each primary tube or tuning out of the collectors? Love the show, and looking forward to seeing the car with the new paint job and performance upgrades. |
