Been to more assembly plants than I care to see. What was good from all this was the set-up of the tools, parts and why the engineers chose that particular way of doing things.
number one in assembly for the beanies is faster and cheaper with the same quality.

Mike, that is a earlier cap used thru 64 I think that should be a Holy Grail cap to Corvette people. With the condition of that NOS cap. BIG$$$$$ and I mean BIG $$$$$$$ I'm thin that there is a comma in the price of that one.

I found a similar one that has the divoted rivet, so I left the other one as is. See pics.

For contrast: On the Camaro forums, they're saying 70 used the flat rivet.
