Yes I think they are hard to find. If he has the originals they can be rebuilt. Kudos to him for keeping a Transaxle Tempest on the road in Sweden, any pictures?

cylinders
I found 3 new ones on ebay and rebuilt the fourth one with a NOS kit found at Norwalk swap meet. They are out there, but require time and patience to fine. The quicker solution is to have the original ones sleeved and rebuilt.

No pictures yet from the owner. He had the cylinders repaired with a kit but it still leaks. To much corrosion inside the cyl? Thanks for the info from the members here and I pass it on to the Le Mans owner.

Finding NOS is hard and can be a crap shot (a 50 year part is a 50 year old part)
We honed and rebuilt ours with the kits still avail at most major parts suppliers. If you still have no luck try... http://www.whitepost.com/brakeform.html

I rebuilt mine recently and had mine resleved and new cups machined from brass. It works well and was quite affordable. As I live in australia I understand the distance issue but have found there is a work around for most problems with these cars. Dont worry about NOS parts just rebuild.

Most of the time, you don't need new ones. Just hone out your originals on the car with a brake hone and cordless drill. Use brake fluid as a lubricant, not solvent/oil.
