Providing this for Rick's FYI to assist you: Are you still running the same setup from 2008 as shown below?

If it is pretty straight. It might be the pulley to tight ( the opening on some of the Powermaster alt, to thick or the fan might be bent a little. Does the belt sit low in the grove. If not at higher rpm can flip over or off. Get a pulley in the same size that the belt drops down a little past the top.

I had a problem with a ALT I was setting up at around 6000 to 7200 RPM it would flip or toss belt. So I went to the hard ware store go a alum pulley that the belt would drop down in, had to drill out the mounting hole. The hole was a bit to big I was not sure that it would work. But @7200 RPM shifts does not flip belts or toss the belt now. (The pulley size that I want had the thicker center shaft for a Allen key shaft so I cut and drilled out)

That pulley I bet that the one he has on the alt he has right now. Those pulley are heavy and some times do not let the belt get down far enough, the factory ones where not as thick on the sides. But some time they work well. I like the skinny side wall pulleys better.
