Thank you, and thanks for asking. The blue one ran 12.74 @ 107.5 and the red one went 13.51 @ 101.9.

That's a good time for the blue one.
Who owns that one? Have the domed pistons in it?

Curious about blue car. Stock lift cam? Exhaust? Street tires? Gear ratio? Just wondering about current tech to get 12's out of these cars.thanks Bob.

Hey Guys, I posted some radiator tag questions in another thread, now I'd like to see how it relates to any of us guys with Auto Tran's SDs. I believe we all got the HD cooling. HfR gave me good education on the tanks and tags these cars had, and apparently what I learned from my build sheet is there were two radiator choices depending on part availability.
Can anyone who's willing have a look down the pass side tank of their radiator and see what two letters are embossed? Mine had an AE. I think CU may be another possibility. And if any of you can snap a pic or at least divulge some of the tag codes if it's still there that would be massively helpful too! Thanks, SD73 |

The camshaft is a custom hydraulic flat tappet that is slightly smaller than the RAIV cam. It has about .510 lift (with 1.65 rocker) on the intake and .470 on the exhaust. It idles like the original cam with 1.65 rockers. The exhaust is factory ported manifolds, mandrel bent 2.5" head pipes, aftermarket cross flow muffler with factory tail pipes and tips. Mickey Thompson 255/60-15 drag radial DOT tires, 3.08 gear ratio.

That's cool! Did you have to do anything with the fuel system on the 14.1 car? When I got mine it would not go more than a gear and a half without running out of fuel?
The low 12 car a 73 or 74? Any pictures of either? |

Yes I had starvation problems. Put a,small old conelec pusher worker ok.Removed stock filter placed in line filter near where line comes up by alternator. Going Back To stock. Like to find out how these guys go 12's with stk pump. Haven't posted pics . Other than that trouble free.Street raced a few cars on way to Norwalk a few times. That 1 vette when it hit 2nd I went by him!! The suspension is stk. It shuddered when I came out hard at Norwalk. So just tried to ease it out.
