Default I'm NOT in my happy place...

Is there some sort of recall on chocolate chips ? We forget how to make simple ice cream ? I've been looking for just plain ol chocolate chip ice cream for a long time now. Can see 8 or so brands at the grocery store and a dozen freaking styles with their gelato and sherbet crap. WHERE'S MY PLAIN OL CHOCOLATE CHIP ??? !

I'm with you man. I'm trying to find a good chocolate milkshake like I used to get at a soda fountain, it seems that most everyone now has the frozen ice-milk stuff.

Steak and Shake is the closest I found.

George

Have you talked to the manager of your local grocery store? If they don't know their customers are looking for it they probably aren't going to stock it.

I'm not really joking, neither of my local stores carries ANY chocolate chip ice cream from ANY brand. I may just complain but I wonder if it's just not selling anymore. Cookies and cream crap.

Its because cookies and cream is so obviously superior

Funny thing is I really dont even like Oreo's. But I'll be damned if those things were made to crush up and put in ice cream.

Go to Baskin Robbins. They have regular chocolate chip ice cream. I buy the pre-made quarts in the freezer there. It's delicious.

I guess the folks up there still know how to do it. Can't find that stuff here in SE PA. Maybe I could start an import business.

All I can find around here is chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. If I want that I'll get a roll of the pre-made dough and est it a little at a time like I used to do as a kid back in the 60s!

Use the link Bob Hall provided. The link will take you to the Turkey Hill Chocolate Chip Ice cream site. There is a store locator, enter your zip code.
Here in Seattle QFC and Fred Myers stock Turkey Hill, Chocolate Chip ice cream.
