RIP to another talented artist

I enjoyed the Eagles when I was younger but these days I'm siding with the "dude".

Tremendous loss.

The Eagles were undoubtedly one of the greatest groups of all time. Their harmonies were incredible. None of the members were related (like The Beach Boys), so it was fate that these guys found each other. Immensely talented individuals, they all expertly played their own instruments, they could all sing, they all harmonized extremely well, they all wrote unforgettable songs.

Randy Meisner was a founding member of The Eagles (he wrote and sang "Take It To The Limit"), and just within the past year, he uploaded a whole bunch of incredible Eagles footage to YouTube, from the bands earlier days.

This is a rare one, a live performance on BBC television from 1973, with Glen Frey, the leader of the group, giving another great performance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaG00zRHDJY

If you're interested, once you watch this, check out the other Randy Meisner uploads. I spent an hour a couple weeks ago going through his uploads, and was blown away at the sheer talent of this band. I always knew they were great, but never saw or heard them on live TV before.

Mike

Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand
And TAKE IT EASY.
RIP Glenn

If you have Netflix, stream "History of the Eagles". This amazing documentary should ease the pain and put a smile on your face. RIP GF.

Until recent Eagles to me was radio playthrough background music. Good, sometimes very good, but not a reason to change the dial. A Good band.

Only recently have i Youtube- played Eagles music, based on Joe Walsh's JAMES GANG albums of excellence.
