These are storage condominiums. Paul owns three units that are tied together with service doors internally. I am currently renting 1100+ Sq/ft there in one unit that has not yet sold for 6 months to consolidate my project cars, clean them up and decide what to do them. I currently have 6 cars in there, with some parts and room to work. In MN during winter, climate controlled, heated, lighted, concrete floors is a must.

Nope. Those belong to Bruno Silikowski at Automotorplex. Bruno's a decent guy. We actually held our Land of Lakes Muscle Car Classic at his place in 2010; however, it was not well suited for a show like ours. It's an interesting idea, but not one I would ever partake in. Cost too high. Too many prying eyes. Wooden structures with steel skin versus cement/steel structures. The structures I am in are built by www.parkplacestorage.net

I like the quality of these buildings, their security, their nondescript appearance and no prying eyes. The guys who own at Automotorplex enjoy their cars and want to have others know about it. It's about the "look at me" factor. That's not my deal.

That's an interesting idea. Storage condo...so you actually pay monthly but you own the thing so that you can sell it, rent it, whatever.. Very nice.

I don't mind listing what I own - many here share their stories. My point was to say that where I keep what I own is my business and I don't like people nosing around. I'll gladly show my cars, but I don't want people walking around where I store them. The Automotorplex is designed to showcase what people have. That's a different approach for a different audience than what I would choose to do.

Anything positive to say?

Automotorplex is a fantastic site that caters to a certain group. Most use it as a showcase for their collections which are impressive and some are simply spectacular. The common area clubhouse and grounds are very nice and can be used for many social events. Bruno opens the campus the first Saturday of every month for a Cars & Coffee event which is very highly attended. The place is over the top awesome.

Park Place has similar storage/working capabilites without the added immenities (and cost). More of a blue collar feel at Park Place where some people use the garages as home base for their businesses such as landscaping, or roofing/siding, etc. Serious car collectors and restorers get a bigger bang for the buck at Park Place due to the larger doors, and lower association fees. The remote location serves both privacy and security for those wishing to remain anonymous. There are some awesome car collections and maxed out garages at Park Place, you just need to know where they are.

Comparing the two the like comparing Barrett-Jackson to Mecum. Both offer great cars but the prices are higher at BJ due to the exposure of TV and the bidders who want to make a splash.

[QUOTE]Video is made at the Storage facility where Paul (driver/owner) has three units. They are 18 ft tall (many build a second story into them for storage, etc.) There are four basic sizes, I believe. 18 x 46, 26 x 46, 60 x 46 and I believe there is a front-back unit at 60+ feet long, doors on each end. This is just from memory and that might be slightly off on sizes.

Security fencing, gate with electronic key to enter/keypad also, lighted, each unit secured, heated, concrete floors, metal construction, electric included in association fee..

Here's one unit prepped for a Harley owner...

we dont have anything like this in Aus mmmm only if i had money

Mike is a good guy to deal with if anyone is interested in a High Option '69 GTO.

The Craigslist ad was cancelled, so I ask, what did it sell for?

Car was sold, however I'm not 100% sure what the final price was. New owner is in northern Minnesota.

Hope nobody minds, I'm saving these pics for reference. Always wondered what my Expresso/gold car would look like in better condition!
