Default Manual Brake master cylinder

I'm trying to determine if the master brake cylinder I have is original. It has some markings, but I have no idea what numbers I should have. My car is a 1967 Firebird 400, 4-speed, with manual drum brakes all around. Anyone know the part number and where to look?

I have the info at home but it will be tomorrow before I can get to it.

But it may have been a casting of 5459467 and a BS\CT on the front

FWIW - my 69 is definitely original. It has 5452310 on the underside. I took a picture for you as well. There y be a single or double digit stamping on the opposite side of the bottom face, but it is completely unreadable if it is in fact a stamping.Click image for larger version

This image is from my 68 400 4 spd with manual brakes, an unrestored and untouched car. I believe it is original to the car but sending it to Karps Power Brake Service in Upland, Ca to get rebuilt. Hope this helps!

5452310 is the correct casting. The body, cap, and bale wire are all different than the one you are having redone. 2310s are super easy to find as they were used on all GM cars through the years. If you have a yard near by with any older cars, you could probably get a core pretty cheap. Also, you could try the parts stores reman master cylinders. You may see them come through there too.

Here is a completed EBay auction on an NOS one. Note the cap, wire and details on it. The part number in the auction title is different because it refers to the entire unit whereas the 5452310 refers only to the body casting.

Power brakes did because they were tilted. Manual did not.

Cores show up on ebay all of the time, sometimes cheap. There are a few out there now.

Nevermind. I found them.

Are there date codes on them? If yes, how do you read them?

Search 5452310. Also try "GM master cylinder". Here are a few out there now. I think you can find cheaper cores though if you are patient.

Looks like a nice correct part here but can not see the cast number. Might want to ask them.
