Default What PUI Interior Paint Color Code for '71 261 Blue?

Our '71 Le Mans Sport Conv. has interior code 261 Blue. I need to get some interior paint to match, since some of the replacement pieces (i.e. dash, console lid, etc..) come in black only. Also need a new blue carpet. I am not sure which PUI color code best matches the Pontiac 261 blue for '71.
I am guessing it is PUI M16 Dark Blue? If so, is it the same #16 Blue I will need for the correct blue carpet?
Hopefully, someone can confirm. I have only done black interiors before, so please bear with me.
Thanks in advance!

I have the five 71 blue carpet samples that Ames sends out, which I believe are ACC brand.

Of the 5, none is an exact match in the 71 factory Trim book which has actual blue carpet sample. The closet I see is sample to the factory sample is #17 which is very close.

For the 261 Blue, you can send a sample trim piece into TCP global and they will match it up with a acrylic based paint. Or you can bring the old lacquer codes into a paint shop that sells lacquer and have them mix some up.

I have gotten spray cans made to my Sandalwood interior paint codes (there are two for that color) from Tower Paint Co. in Appleton, Wisconsin. 800-779-6520. Nice people and perfect color match.

Thanks for your responses so far.

Tower Paint - I will check that out too, thanks Eric71T37.

I was thinking about these paints - Are they any good - or pretty close? Ames has them as well, using the same PUI codes.

About the carpet - I do not have any of the original blue, since a previous owner put in a black one, and it is in bad shape now. I just want to put in a new blue one that will best match up with whatever the 216 blue carpet was.

You don't even have to send them a sample. I just gave them the original Ditzler code for my Dark Turquoise interior and they mixed a quart of SEM interior paint for me. Even SEM wasn't able to do that as their database didn't go back to '68 but TCP did it with no problem.
You may have to get the original factory code from a color chip card of the type sold on ebay all the time or someone here will have it. You can get it on line if you can find a picture showing both sides of the card. One side will be the exterior color codes and the other side will be the interior.

Ok - Got several blue carpet samples coming from Ames.

Also - I bought a paint chip chart for '71 online, and found Ditzler interior color codes, which covers trim combination number 261, and is a dark blue 14104 for semi-gloss applications, along with 14103, for zero-gloss / flat applications.

Hopefully I'm on the right track.

Thanks again.
