GM P/N for hood retainers?
Does anyone know the old GM P/N for these hood retainers shown in the 1969 accessory brochure? The D means they were dealer installed, so I presume there is a GM P/N.
I bought a set from Firebird Central they said were for 1969 Firebirds, but they do not look like the picture. Anyone know where I can get these exact ones? Thanks!

Hard to read the box, but it looks like Group 8.083 # 988595 . I bought a NOS set years ago in Carlisle. Box is dated 9/11/69

Awesome, thanks! That gives me a start in looking for a set. That references to a 69 GTO part # so I presume it's the same for the Firebird.
You wouldn't happen to be interested in selling yours would you?

Sorry, they are on the car. The directions from the box gave exact measurements for my FB, so I'm not sure why you found that it is a GTO part number.

I just got that it was a GTO # from a quick Google search of that number is all, I could have been mistaken.
I am about to install my hood pins next week, would it be possible for you to please provide me with the Firebird measurements that you have? That would be amazing and I would be forever grateful! Alex
