Default Made a few test passes.

We got 3 runs in saturday. Best pass was number 3. 5.53 at 126. Numbers are not all that impressive yet but the fuel side is fat and timing to low. The ign was having trouble clearing up the improper tune. We left at idle due to a untested chassis setup. There is allot more there but we had no mechanical peoblems. I'm calling it a good outing. The car is a back half 68 firebird. Has a glass hood and trunk lid. Lexan all around. 505 in engine with a 8-71 on top and mechanical fuel injection. Standard port e heads. Nothing super trick about it. Currently at 8 percent over. I believe it will go 5.20s when properly tuned. I have other pulleys to try when it's running properly. Thanks for the kind words.

Under 10 pounds at 6000 I'm sure. I have not looked at much other than oil pressure and coolant temp. Being all new car and engine combination I am still getting used to everything.

Terrific numbers especially for a first trip. It's good to see another VA Pontiac running strong like yours. I might have missed it but what track were you at, Richmond?

Congratulations! It's always good to see another Roots-blown Pontiac going down the track. What setup are you using for mechanical fuel injection?

Thanks Paul. 110 pump cam driven with a bird catcher. No port nozzles. Yes we were at richmond. The track was good and the people worked with us.

You guys are killing me .........its 40 degrees here, I'm lucky if i get to run it low 70 degree temps! i know for a fact when i ran kentucky in 95 degree temps i ran a 8.54 slowing the blower down (so i could run the 8.50 b/ gas class). the next day it was only (ONLY?) 85 out and it ran 8.46........ picked it almost a tenth with a 10 degree temp drop, car would easily run 7.90's in 50 degree temps and my normal tune up in it!! Ya I'm jealous!! have fun!
