Jack, you may have already planned for this, but I think quite a few people here would love to see and hear a video of the DOHC engine running for the first time. I know I would. When we fired the Boss Bird the first time, I just set up a tiny digital camera on a tri-pod out of the way with a wide view and let it roll. No actual photographer needed. Best of luck, you have to be excited!.

Maybe? It's the last year we will run the stock block. Not looking to stick a ton of money into it. Just want to run TNT top rings. Thought the ball hone would be sufficient?

Ball hone tends to follow contours to some extent, so if already bored and honed with plate it should be fine for a light touchup without plate.

My plans...see if I can spend some time actually working on my Pontiac stuff. With last kid in HS now, it seems only time I have its either too late, too hot, too cold or I'm too tired. I dont recall the older siblings keeping us as busy.

A particular hone package is something that gets developed. Its real ! And should be taken very seriously if you are trying to make Power.

Hoping to drag magic man's ass if he has the balls to race in ultra street.

Freshening the shortblock this year. It needs bored, so new pistons, rings, and bearings and polish the crank. That should get me through e few more seasons.

Going to try an iron intake with SD Performance CNC ported plenum, and build a couple of Q jets to play with. Going to try and duplicate performance of RPM and HP750. Shooting for high tens.

Lord willing and if the creek don't rise, I'll be making passes this year for the first time in many years. I've owned a bunch of Pontiacs over the years, but this will be my first Pontiac powered drag car, so I'm excited about that!

additional head porting done.
smaller, tame cam (what was i thinking)
Redline "shockproof" in the rear.
a series of test & tune intake evaluations.
a smaller series of carb evals.
a simple exhaust Collector eval.

Later in the year:
4L80 manual goes in ( hey itsa got OD ).
AC compressor and charge goes in.

Better end-up in the 11's on 89 Octane.
