Backup light protector plates
I seen somewhere where you could buy these plates that bolt to the rear bumper to protect your backup lights, anyone can help with this

The back-up lights are built into the rear bumper on 99% pf the 64 GTOs, you would have to be very unlucky to crack a lens on the back up lights of those cars. Why do you feel that you need back-up light protection?

They protect the back-up light housings from water / dirt from the rear tires. I see these on eBay sometimes and I'm sure they have been reproduced.

Learn something new ever day about 64 GTOs. Why it is great to be on this board.
That being said, I will have to make a trip to my storage place and see if I have such a thing on my original rear bumper. Tom V.

The one I've posted are from a '65 NOS KIT.
The '64's differ a bit; Here is a repop set for sale; http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-64-GTO-...%7CModel%3AGTO

I had them on my '64, but when I installed the rechromed bumper I left them off. They're probably floating around here somewhere.

B/T/W, mine were original from the factory with the backup lights. I had no idea I had them until I took it apart.
