Default Moog 5387 Rear Coil Springs

I've been searching the forum trying to identify the rear coil spring that gives me a nice rake on the car (67 LeMans). Only one answer really seemed to nail it, which was to use Moog 5387s in the rear. Seems like these are an uncommon spring. Does anyone have any experience with them? As I'm based in the UK I'm trying to get the order right first time. Thanks.

Have them on my 67, They are perfect. 1.5 in higher then stock and do not drop with 2 rear seat people. Ride is better then stock. tried 3 others and stuck with them.

Air bags will do it too.

Thanks Mike, sounds like they're the spring to go for. Out of curiosity, what spring do you run up front?.
Still cheaper than bags of course ;-)

I had to replace mine John but I only had to replace the bags. The hoses were ok. A pair of bags cost me $50.50 US each. Not a bad price.

I really like the airlift springs as well. I can maintain my otherwise stock ride height, but add some air for passengers, car parts, etc. They cost about 150.00 US and installed in a couple of hours. Of course, if you really want the rake, then the wagon springs seem to be the go to solution.

66Sprint6, it only took me 30 to 40 minutes to change mine out and put the new ones in. Unhook shocks drop the rear to stretch the springs. Slide the old ones out and compress the new ones to get the air out and flatten them, then slide them in thru the springs. Clip the airlines on and hook the shocks back up and you're done. The only thing to come off the car are the rear tires.

I could probably do it faster now. The first install had me running the air lines, securing them nice and cleanly to the frame, etc. Installing the air valve. I like to take my time.

Mike, that's the stance I think the car should have left the factory with, just what I'm looking for. Thanks for the images. Got nothing against bags and like the idea of playing with the height, but out of my budget for the time being. Thanks all.
